Candied Sweet Potatoes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

            4 medium sweet potatoes or yams

            ¼ teaspoon salt

            ¼ cup granulated or brown sugar (or combination of both)

            ½ teaspoon cinnamon

            ½ teaspoon nutmeg

            4-6 teaspoons butter

 

Directions

  •          Wash and peel sweet potatoes or yams.
  •          Cut into medium size cubes; cut in half and then thirds or fourths.
  •          Place into lightly greased baking dish.
  •          Season with salt, add sugar and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
  •          Add cubed butter.
  •          Cover dish and bake 350’ approximately 45 minutes or until potatoes test done with fork.
